Our Story
Our History as The Bar
The Bar Hair Body Beauty was established in 2016. In 2017, Anita took ownership and built the business from the ground up, creating an incredible clientele and a strong reputation backed by years of industry experience. Throughout her journey, Anita trained and mentored many talented stylists, shaping the salon into what it is today.
In December 2023, third-year apprentice Jayne joined The Bar. When Anita made the difficult decision to sell her beloved salon October 2024, after bravely battling MS for four years, Jayne was the natural and heartfelt choice to take over.
Our Future as Knockout Hair and Beauty
Now the new owner since June 2025, Jayne is proud to continue Anita’s legacy while building the future of The Bar Hair Body Beauty.
In January 2025, Jayne established her own company, Knockout Hair and Beauty, trading as The Bar for six months to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.
Jayne’s vision is to create a safe, welcoming space where women feel empowered to become their best, most confident selves. Looking ahead, she aims to grow Knockout Hair and Beauty into multiple salons located across Australia.
